some special things

I’ve read you can keep peonies (Pfingstrosen)for 6 months in the refrigerator if you wrap them in paper. They need to be dry and you need to cut them before they bloom. So I cut a big bunch this morning, and wrapped them up for our anniversary party in September. I should have lavender and roses to go with the peonies. I hope to place the flowers on the dessert table. I’m not sure many people will notice these flowers out of season, but I will know they are very special.
